Step 1: Debris Removal
We start by manually clearing all leaves, twigs, sediment, and buildup from the gutters by hand. This is the most important step and it has to be done right before anything else. Skipping straight to flushing a clogged gutter just pushes debris into the downspout and creates a bigger problem downstream.
Step 2: Flushing and Flow Check
With the gutters cleared, we flush the entire system with water to confirm everything is flowing freely from the gutters through the downspouts and away from the foundation. This step also reveals any slow drains, partial blockages, or pitch issues that aren't visible during the debris removal phase.
Step 3: Downspout Clearing
If any downspouts still show restricted flow during the flush, we address them directly, clearing blockages to restore full drainage through the entire system. Water that can't exit through the downspout has nowhere to go but back over the edge of the gutter, which defeats the entire purpose.
